Investment team

Under the supervision of Emmanuel Boussard and Emmanuel Gavaudan, the investment team is composed of experienced fundamental analysts and traders, with an investment banking background.

Fundamental analyst team The team is composed of 8 fundamental analysts. Within their sector they analyse the equity, credit and volatility of each company. Charles-Edouard Joseph is responsible for this team. Charles-Edouard Joseph was involved in the creation of Boussard & Gavaudan in 2003. Prior to this, he worked at Goldman Sachs for 5 years in investment banking in London and Paris. Charles-Edouard Joseph is a graduate of the Ecole des Hautes Etudes Commerciales (HEC).

Trading team   The team is made up of 12 traders specialised by asset class (equity, credit and volatility). Etienne Becker is Co-Chief Investment Officer and manages this team in association with Emmanuel Boussard. Etienne Becker joined Boussard & Gavaudan in 2004. Previously, he worked for Goldman Sachs in London for 4 years in equity derivatives, where he was responsible for the French equity options book then for the financial options book. Prior to this, he spent 3 years working for UBS Warburg in London as a trader in interest rates derivatives. Etienne Becker is a graduate of the Ecole Normale Supérieure (ENS Ulm) and holds a PhD in Probabilities from the Université Paris VI, Pierre et Marie Curie.
